Tiny post: The Stretch Motocompo

This one is a bit unusual. You might not catch it the first time you look, but once you get past the obvious stuff like the top case and wind deflector, then you start to notice that this thing’s got two seats! And two sets of foot pegs! (and two pipes, I don’t know what’s going on there.) But, this is the first two passenger / stretch Motocompo I’ve seen. I wish I knew more about this contraption. Wait! It looks like… It’s got TWO engines! The original two stroke with custom pipe and a bolt-on 50cc 4-stroke? Whoa… I’m feeling woozy. I need to sit down and let my eyes adjust.

On Sunday March 8th 2010 Jeremy Dean took his totally pimped out Hummer, entitled Futurama, out for a spin. Dean has pimped it out with silver chrome, working LED lights and a booming audio and video system. Even though the modded Hummer only gains 2 HP of forward momentum, it’s still tons better than the civilian mall-runner, tax right-offs usually driven by CEO wives. I like to see how it runs with the 8 HP upgrade! The Hummer is DEAD! LONG LIVE THE HUMMER!

Really! I nearly had this happen to me once. Luckily there was about two feet of clearance at the end of the arm, so I just swerved around it. Don’t let this happen to you!

Everybody loves Vespa… eeeeverybody

As long as we’re talking about Vespa, I found this commercial that handles the well worn topic of “What if Hog rider meets Vespa” with a clean piece of videography. Doesn’t make it any fresher, but at least it’s pretty to look at. Enjoy!

This is one of those common mistakes. Yer showin’ off, smokin’ a little rubber then *ERRRRT!* the bike goes flying off without you. I have to think he would have been better off making this mistake whist showing off for an unknown lady as opposed to all of his mates… with video cameras. Poor guy. His friends will always have a good story for the pub.

Just up on ebay is a cherry Honda Motocompo!

As some of you may know, Steve is seriously infatuated with this rare little import scooter from Honda. This one just popped up on ebay yesterday and it has Steve written all over it.
The seller has 100% positive feedback and is located in the heart of the US in Galena, Illinois.

Steve REALLY needs this bike so be sure to post a comment to encourage him and let him know that by buying this scooter he is doing the right thing and certainly his sweet wife would never be upset with him for buying this serious collectors item!

Just wanted to answer a few questions and comments on the Motocompo.
Q: Is there video of how the Motocompo fits into a Honda City?
A: Not that I’ve seen. I did, however, catch the two of them in a creepy music video. I can show you an image of the Motocompo inside of a City though.

Q: Was the Motocompo Honda’s smallest folding scooter?
A: No, although it never went into production this baby from 2001 was smaller.

Q: Can the Motocompo catch air?
A: Watch and see for yourself.

Q: Where can I find an affordable Motocompo in like-new condition?
A: I’m thinking HERE or HERE.

I think I figured out why I get along with those rabble rousing Ruckus fans so well, because they’re such good oddiologists! Just four months after TheScooterScoop was born, a post was started on TotalRuckus.com (see title link), it was their “scooter pic of the day”. Since then the thread has grown so large you need a high speed connection and a very hardy browser to view it safely. If you’re lying in bed with a broken leg, this will help you pass the time. By the time it’s done loading and you’ve looked at every image… you’ll be all better!

(hehe… Wonder Woman rides the Invisivespa. How fast does Flash’s Vespa go?)
